- Portfolios overdue between July and August 2020: the new deadline is February 28, 2022;
- Portfolios due in September and October 2020: have until March 31, 2022;
- November and December 2020: the new deadline is April 30, 2022;
- Due in January and February 2021: You have until May 31, 2022;
- Overdue between March and April 2021: have until June 30, 2022;
- Portfolios that matured between May and June 2021: have until July 31, 2022;
- Portfolios that matured between July and August 2021: have until August 31, 2022;
- Overdue between September and October 2021: have until September 30, 2022;
- Overdue between November and December 2021: have until October 31, 2022;
- Portfolios overdue between January and February 2022: have until November 30, 2022;
- And portfolios will mature between March and April 2022: they have until December 31, 2022;
The new deadlines extend to the driver's licenses that will expire in December 2022, they have the deadline for renewal until August 2023.
How to renew license online?
The first step to renew license is to register on the Detran website, you can also do it through the official application. For this, it is necessary to inform the place of birth, residence number registered with the Detran, driver's license number, e-mail and password preferably.
After that, on your Meu Detran home page it already informs you if your license has already expired. Then just choose the form of renewal, online or in person, and follow the step by step. Renewal with drug test is only for licenses C, D and E.
If your case is only License B, for vehicles that do not exceed the gross weight of 3,500 kilos and do not exceed 8 seats, just follow the instructions on the page and choose the date and time to take the medical examination (physical and mental aptitude).
Necessary conditions to be able to renew the license
There are some conditions for renew license online on the Detran website or application. You must have your license with a photo and in good standing, that is, neither suspended nor revoked.
Your license must already be expired or within 30 days of expiration and you cannot have any process in progress. In addition, you cannot request data changes for the new document, except for the inclusion or exclusion of paid activity.
