The Work Card (CTPS) is an indispensable document in the life of the Brazilian worker. It brings together details about working life, as well as the employment relationships that were established during the professional trajectory.
This document, which has existed since 1932, is undergoing modernization in its format. The digital workbook is a digitized version of the traditional printed document. With a simple cell phone consultation, the citizen can verify the data of the current employment contract and also of old jobs.
Since January 2015, the digital work card has been in effect throughout Brazil and, since November 21, 2017, the application for cell phones and tablets is available, which is compatible with Android and iOS devices.
It is a system implemented by the Ministry of Labor with the aim of modernizing labor procedures, making life easier for workers and employers.
The goal is to speed up the issuance of work permits and ensure more security for information. The document is issued digitally, without the need to wait at least 30 days, as with the printed model.
When the worker requests the digital CTPS, the information provided is crossed with that registered in government databases, ensuring the issuance of an updated document. The photo is also taken on site, which makes the process easier. In general, it is ready in up to 20 minutes and, when necessary, scheduling can be done online.
The Digital Work Card will not initially replace the printed work card.
To have the digital document, you just need to download the app for free from the virtual store (Apple Store by Apple and Play Store by Android).
After downloading the program and completing its installation, a screen with four options will appear (Login, Request 1st copy, Request 2nd copy, Frequently Asked Questions).
Who has the password registered in the citizen.br It is Sine Easy, you will only need to enter this password (it will be the same password for both applications). In this case, just click on “Login”.

If you prefer not to install the application, you can also register on your computer at . On the page, you will need to inform the CPF number, full name, mother's name, date of birth and security code. Then just validate the data to confirm.
Advantages of CTPS Digital:
Consult information on all employment relationships with a formal contract (data of the contracting company, position, salary and period of work).
Request the first work card or the duplicate of the physical document. The platform allows you to schedule a service to validate the information registered at an authorized post and thus issue the CTPS more quickly. The QR Code function will be available in the application to validate the authenticity of the information.
Attention: The version of digital wallet it does not replace the current printed work card, CTPS, it serves only as an extension of information and services for the worker and employer.
In addition to the work card, the Ministry of Labor also presented other digital services, such as the application for unemployment insurance over the internet. Workers will be able to apply for the benefit through the Emprega Brasil website, with total convenience and without having to leave their homes. The request can be made as soon as the resignation documents are delivered.
It is not the first time that the federal government has developed a platform to make life easier for workers. In June 2017, Sine Fácil was launched, an application that allows you to find job openings and schedule interviews.
