Accelerated growth of Brazil Aid

In recent months, the program's waiting list Brazil Aid is growing more and more. This growth has been observed since March. Currently, half of the municipalities in the country have records of families living in poverty or extreme poverty, but who still do not receive it.

Announcement

Lack of funds is the main reason for this. According to the Ministry of Citizenship, the Federal Government is already aware that there is a queue for Auxílio Brasil in 2,525 cities, out of a total of around 5,500 municipalities.

This means that 764,000 families whose registration was approved still have to wait for the program's budget to increase or for a beneficiary to be excluded in order to have a vacancy. Only in this way is it possible to receive the monthly fee of R$400.

Main problems of program

The growth and queue of Brazil Aid show the increase in the need for social assistance in the current period. Unemployment and inflation are situations that make everything more serious in the economy, exceeding the capacity of the program.

After its launch, it still took a long time for the government to be able to comply with what was informed. For example, the amount referring to the monthly fee, which was announced at R$400, but at the beginning I only paid an average of R$217.18.

The value of R$400 was only delivered and fixed in May. A recently released Datafolha survey showed that the replacement of Bolsa Família by Auxílio Brasil still did not provide the electoral percentage that Bolsonaro wanted.

Among those who receive the benefit, the current president had only 20% of the voting intentions. The former president and pre-candidate, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, reached 59% of the intentions of the same audience.

How to apply for Aid Brazil?

If you are interested in the program, it is important to know that you must first register in the Single Registry, in order to have your registration approved in Auxilio Brasil. CadÚnico is the place that gathers important information about Brazilian families.

Choose a representative in your family and go to a service point of the Social Assistance Reference Center (Cras) in your city with the identification documents of each member and others that are requested.

The information you provide must be up to date and only then can you be part of the program, as it is not possible to apply alone. The Ministry of Citizenship selects the families according to the data provided by the city halls in the CadÚnico.
